卧式螺旋沉降离心机是用离心沉降原理分离悬浮液的机器。对固相颗粒在0.005－3mm，固液比重差较大的悬浮液，均可进行固液分离和颗粒分级。有并流、逆流和分级各类型。

Decanter is machine of separating suspending liquid on centrifugal sedientation. With this centrifuge ,it is possible to separate suspending liquid of bigger difference in specific gravity between solids and liquids ,the diameter of solid particle is 0.005-3mm. It can be divided into assortment type parauel-flow type , and counterflow type.In many industries such as petroleum, chemical, light industry, food, metallurgical, alcohol, mining and surround protecton department it has been accepted for use widely today.
