G.EL - Product Detail
The Guldager Electrolysis (G.EL) system for the protection against corrosion and scale. The G.EL system prevents so-called "red" or "grey" water phenomena
Uses: Inside surface of water tanks and pipes made of copper, galvanized steel, black steel or combined systems
Function: Aluminum anodes are assembled inside existing water tanks and are controlled by a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)
Users: All buildings, industries and situations that use water storage tank

•＊The G.EL. system protects both the water tank and the pipes attached to it.
•＊Aluminum anodes are installed inside the tank, insulated from the tank’s wall.

＊The patented configuration of the anode is specific for each tank, designed and manufactured to order.
＊Cathodic protection is initiated by a direct current - the anodes receive a positive electrical current and the wall (acting as cathode) a negative.
＊The direct current is controlled by a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller).
•＊The aluminum anodes dissolve gradually as a result of the direct current.
•＊Subsequently small amounts of harmless aluminum particles are formed in the water.
•＊These particles are not easily soluble, and enter the pipes in the water flow.
•＊In the pipes, the compounds form homogeneous protection layers with an uniform thickness of 0.3mm: this layer will not grow beyond this thickness.
